New Song “Luna” by Singer-Songwriter KiKi
Singer-songwriter KiKi – also known as Kikiwritings – already surprised us this year with a complete genre transformation in her performance at EMA 2025. Now, with her new song “Luna”, she returns to the realm of modern folk-pop, describing this piece as her “favorite project so far.
”The imaginative world that KiKi so often invites us into with her singing is this time also visually supported by a music video, inspired by the theme of magical forest creatures living in harmony with nature, bringing joy to people, and restoring a childlike sense of wonder.
The music video for KiKi’s new song Luna will premiere on her YouTube channel Kikiwritings on Wednesday, October 15th, at 18:00.
The moon represents one of the oldest and most universal symbols humanity has ever known – yet, with modern production, it also finds its place in the present day. Through this unity, KiKi invites listeners to accept themselves and others.
The theme of Luna centers on introversion in today’s anything-but-peaceful times. The lyrics highlight the pressures of a society that tells us to change in order to be accepted. KiKi firmly rejects this idea in the song, calling listeners to embrace authenticity and return to their innate strangeness, which she believes every person – no matter how “ordinary” – carries within.
The imaginative world KiKi shares through her music resembles the fantasy books she loves to read – and her connection to nature is visible not only in the lyrics and vocal delivery but also in her choice of color palette and visual themes.
KiKi created Luna together with music producers Jovica Novković and Blaž Mikl, who added a dynamically produced foundation to the lyrics and vocal harmonies.
The music video was largely created by students of AGRFT (Academy for Theatre, Radio, Film, and Television).
